What Is OET? | Types Of OET Exams In Nigeria
The Occupational English Test (OET) is a healthcare-specific English language test. It assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals looking to register and practice in an English-speaking environment.
OET has been developed specifically for 12 healthcare professions, and you are eligible to take the test if your profession is among these: dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, and veterinary science.

Edugrade Services is an approved OET Registration Centre In Nigeria. OET is held 14 times every year. Similarly, in Nigeria, the OET (Occupational English Test)—OET Registration—is held 14 times.
OET Eligibility, Test Pattern and OET Score
The minimum OET eligibility criteria for 2024 is for healthcare professionals who are looking to work or study in the healthcare sector in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Dubai, Singapore, or Namibia; hence, it is important that all applicants possess in-depth certification in similar fields.
The Occupational English Test, more commonly referred to as OET, covers all four language skills with special attention to communication in the healthcare environment.
Candidates who have successfully appeared for their OET can expect their OET scores to be generated approximately within 16 working days from the day of each test.
Students who appear for their OET will be graded on a scale of 0-500 in ten-point increments.
The numerical score would be further mapped to a separate letter grade for each subtest, with (alphabet A) denoting the highest to (alphabet E) denoting the lowest.
Note that there is no overall OET grade.
